Sorry about that, but just writing and posting words on a regular basis doesn't really occur naturally to me. Keeping up three installments a week plus the odd installment of GAAK once in a while tends to keep a person too busy for other sorts of mischief, even kicking PETA freaks around (makes me hungry for greasy KFC chicken and blue-rare steak already!). Today I bought little prezzies for the nieces and thought about what I can get for the oh-so-hard-to-buy-for Dad. We got the Christmas tree in today. The Nativity scene Mom got from relatives last year is out in its full glory. Snow is finally on the ground. I'm already looking forward to next summer and a glorious time of sitting out in the sun, fending off the local bums and rolling my eyes at 14YO runaway girls going around with 23YO guys with both just stumbling through the aftereffects of whatever they shot up or drunk down that day. Ugh. But before that, there's SLUSH SEASON! Dirty-brown ice on the streets! Wet boots and wetter pant legs! YAY! Let's hear it for winter in New Brunswick!

Still the master

Most of us artists aren't fit to polish his gravestone.

Call me medieval...

But crap like THIS makes me regret the obsolesence of public impalement on pikes. "Cat Scratch Fever" rocks, but so does "Fred Bear". And, I can't resist humming "Beer for My Horses" at times. Let's face it, I love performers with a fun-loving, take-no-crap attitude whose ambition is to go out in a blaze of glory... more than I could ever expect. Here's my work schedule, kiddies: Saturday to Wednesday, I work on UNAF. Thursday to Saturday, everything else - art for GAAK, commissions, chasing down commissions, whatnot, and on top of that, working on a business plan to qualify for an entepreneur loan to expand my business. I have a bit of an edge in that my capital assets have already been acquired and are debt-free. I see my employment counselor tomorrow and we'll go over the template documents I got at Enterprise Fredericton this afternoon. That's another reason I went to half-pages for UNAF, to make it easy to turn around five installments in five days and still have time for the other things. I know I don't have the biggest readership as far as GS comics go, so I make the most of it by updating frequently to keep "my public" (that's you) coming back on a daily basis, keeping the free samples hot, fresh and delicious and building up a hellacious archive so that nobody goes away hungry. If you don't know yet, Darryl Hughes and I have a yummy GAAK archive at drunkduck.com, so hie thee there if the idea of a Spielberg/Burton hookup resulting in a zany UFO invasion epic love child sounds appealling to you.

Don't Mess with Texas Women!

Guy runs a red light and crashes into a carload of old ladies. That showboating atty. general, Micheal Bryant, has started with pit bulls and, if history is any indicator, will probably start a breed-banning frenzy akin to the Terror of the French Revolution or Kristallnacht for Canines. After all, we know, next will be Rottweillers, then Dobermans... then Shepherds and any other breed that a politician happens to take a dislike to. I'd save the dogs and ban Bryant, myself.

Here's the place to go if you want to help the dogs of Ontario and Canada

Life without magnificent, majestic German Shepherds just wouldn't be worth it for me. At least not in Canada, which is becoming more of a totalitarian dump every day. Instead of obsessing over the fact that somewhere in the world is a restaurant that still has a smoking section and a racecar that still has a tobacco company's logo on it, they should have jumped on the bird flu with everything they had if they intended to live up to their name. Leave the smokers alone, and also the establishments that wish to host them, it's called "personal choice" and "private property" respectively. A potential pandemic, now, that's the WHO's proper business.

And the Insensitivity Training begins...

Oh, not so bloated and cumbersome as LJ.
